In 2013, two leading world-class conferences in the field of manufacturing will be co-located to better serve the needs of the advanced manufacturing research community. These co-located conferences will be hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison from June 10 to June 14, 2013, in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. The two participating conferences are:

  • 8th ASME 2013 Manufacturing Science and Engineering Conference (MSEC2013) sponsored by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
  • 41st Annual North American Manufacturing Research Conference (NAMRC41) sponsored by the North American Manufacturing Institution of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (NAMRI/SME)

Because of differences in the conference structures and copyright processing, prospective authors are requested to pay special attention to the respective paper submission guidelines for the three conferences:

Please note that submissions of the same paper to more than one conference are not permitted. All submitted papers will be rigorously peer-reviewed by the respective conferences.

Accepted MSEC papers will be included on a conference CD as MSEC2013, and accepted NAMRC papers will be published separately on a CD as the official Proceedings of NAMRI/SME. In addition, a select number of high-quality NAMRC papers will be fast-tracked for publication in special or regular issues of SME's SCI-indexed Journal of Manufacturing Systems (JMS) or Journal of Manufacturing Processes (JMP).
