The Chinese Nuclear Society, The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME) are jointly organizing the 13th International Conference on Nuclear Engineering (ICONE 13).
The decision to have ICONE 13 in China was obvious. As one of the fastest-growing economies, China requires a large reliable source of power to continue its growth. To meet energy demand, China has now officially listed nuclear power as part of their national power plan. China will nearly quadruple its nuclear generating capacity by the year 2020.
ICONE is the premier technical conference on nuclear engineering. The success of ICONE is due to the contribution of numerous professionals from many companies, government, academia and technical societies from around the globe. We invite nuclear professionals from around the world to participate in this event.
ICONE 13 is a follow-up to the successful meetings held in Tokyo (1991), San Francisco (1993), Kyoto (1995), New Orleans (1996), Nice (1997), San Diego (1998), Tokyo (1999), Baltimore (2000), Nice (2001), Washington D.C. (2002), Tokyo (2003) and Washington D.C. (2004).
