The 2010 ASHRAE Annual Conference will feature more market-based papers and programs than in previous technology-driven ASHRAE conferences. In addition, the conference will include traditional full-length Technical papers as well as a new conference paper format, which requires an abstract and upon approval a paper.
Full Technical papers must complete review by February 12, 2010. Draft Conference Papers are due December 22, 2009. Final papers for both are due March 12, 2010. Papers are requested for the following conference tracks:
The following describes the distinction between Conference Papers and Technical Papers.
Technical Papers (previously known as Transactions Papers)
- Full paper undergoes a rigorous double-blind review, must be approved by three reviewers.
- Presentation by poster or orally, if grouped into a session with related papers.
- Included on the Conference Preprints CD.
- Published in ASHRAE Transactions with questions/answers.
- Up to 30 double-spaced manuscript pages in length, including tables and charts, and a maximum of 12 figures (not counted in the page count).

Conference Papers
- Abstract undergoes review for acceptance or rejection.
- Papers due 3 months after notification of abstract acceptance. Paper undergoes a single-blind review, must be approved by two reviewers.
- Presented orally.
- Included on the Conference Preprints CD
- Published in ASHRAE Transactions (no questions/answers).
- Maximum of 8 single-spaced pages in length. Paper is submitted in "final" form using a template.
